1) Inner Harbour
Nothing sounds better than peddling along the waters, viewing some of Victoria’s most historic buildings. It’s even doable at night with all the beautiful lights illuminating off the buildings and glistening off the waters. Whether it’s a fun day activity or special date, we can promise you that this is a definite DO NOT MISS. For a special occasion, you can even hop off your U-bicycle and try out one of Canada’s most famous tea spots at the Empress Hotel.
2) Beacon Hill Park
One of the most beautiful parks you’ll cycle through! It is located along the Juan de Fuca Strait, so we can ensure those Instagram posts will be on point. The park truly has something for everyone, from a petting zoo, tennis courts, water park, beautiful landscapes to numerous playgrounds; we can guarantee a good time for you, your family, and friends!
3) Victoria Chinatown
Did you know Victoria’s Chinatown is the oldest in Canada, and second oldest in North America? Whether you are looking for some fantastic dim sum or looking to gain some cultural experiences, Chinatown is a must see! One of the streets we suggest you hop off for a quick look would be the Fan Tan alley, an incredibly narrow experience, and you’ll know what we mean!
4) Galloping Goose/Lochside Trail System
This has to be one of the top, if not the best cycling trail in Victoria! The trail can be a short little trip, or a commute to downtown, depending on the path you select; however, the difficulty ranges from novice to experts! The trail runs around for approximately 80km, and cyclists can peddle throughout the Victoria vicinity! These trails are filled with lush forests, meadows, and streams and as you pedal on by, don't forget to take in all that our beautiful nature has to offer!
5) Craigdarroch Castle
Stated as the quintessential Victoria, BC experience, no visitor day of exploring in Victoria can forget the Craigdarroch Castle. The 39 rooms, brick, coal structure, and grand size speak for itself. This castle is a historic gem to the community of Victoria, and we can probably guess you may have seen it in a couple of movies or so…but you won’t realize its majesty until you find yourself in front of it.
